DA CAPO Z
Stallion

POP, PACE, AND PRESENCE: THE CROWN JEWELS OF CONTINENTAL BLOODLINES COME TOGETHER IN DA CAPO Z

Corriebeg Sport Horses is delighted to present the exceptional DA CAPO Z: a true melting pot of top-class jumping lines in a seriously smart package.

Quantity begets quality, and where top-class performance breeding is concerned, DA CAPO Z enjoys an embarrassment of riches. As a result, in just his sixth year, this exciting young stallion is ensuring that his outstanding parentage leaves a similarly remarkable legacy. His first crop of foals landed in 2021 and already show the hallmarks of future success, while DA CAPO Z himself continues to thrive in his own education, jumping for a 10 and demonstrating an eager, clever disposition.

His sire, Dominator Z, has proven exceptional under the auspices of Germany’s Christian Allman, with whom he’s won and placed in numerous CSI5* Grands Prix and contested the World Championships in Herning in 2022. Dominator Z brings a trump card to the table in his own sire, France’s finest export Diamant de Semilly, who is as beloved for eventing lines – consider Tom McEwen’s Tokyo silver medallist Toledo de Kerser, for one – as he is for jumping. Dominator Z’s damline brings in Cassini I, who earned himself the accolade of being one of the definitive Holstein stallions of the modern studbook after consistently producing quality throughout his career. That included the 2006 World Champion Cumano, piloted by Jos Lansink.

DA CAPO Z’s damline is no less impressive, featuring the outstanding Stakkato – considered the best Hanoverian jumping sire of his time – up top and the always in-demand late Olympian Carthago (Capitol I) on the bottom. That sparkling combination produced Stakkato Spring, a mare who jumped successfully at National Grands Prix before retiring to the breeding shed.

DA CAPO Z is expected to become a much sought-after sire of both jumping horses and eventers, and brings a blood percentage of 37.5% to the table, making him an ideal partner for blood-type mares who need an injection of careful, catty jumping and impressive, well-balanced paces.
